Blackberry, Lemon Candy, Almond Croissant

Limited Time Offering - Sharing a name with a famous hummingbird garden at the foot of the Andes, Alambi is a compilation of harvests from six small-scale producers in Pichincha, Ecuador. The region’s high elevation and rich volcanic soil are perfect for growing coffee, as evidenced by the slam-dunk vibrancy you’ll taste in the cup. This coffee smells like roasted almonds, with a subtle floral note that’ll bring you back to picking wild blackberries fresh off the bush some summers past. Its zesty lemon acidity softens into a delightfully nutty and candy-coated sweetness as it cools, like the pastry cream filling inside the fluffiest almond croissant.

This coffee was grown by six small-scale producers in Pichincha, Ecuador. Nestled up against the Andes mountain range, the region is ideal for coffee cultivation, with a high elevation and nutrient-dense volcanic soil.

Pichincha is also home to the Bellavista Cloud Forest Reserve, a certified conservation area about an hour from Quito. The biodiversity hotspot has become quite the tourist destination for birdwatchers, sprinkled with ecotourism resorts like the Alambi Reserve. Folks travel from near and far to marvel at the dozens of species of hummingbirds found in the gardens there, from the Purple-throated Woodstar to the Andean Emerald.

Ripe coffee cherries were collected and fully washed, then dried on raised beds and patios.
